A community of practice for non-state actors in education

Mission

The Education Finance Network’s mission is to convene diverse education stakeholders with a focus on leveraging non-state resources to create inclusive, high-quality education systems in low- and middle-income countries globally.

Vision

The vision for the Network is a global education sector where disadvantaged learners have equal access to quality education and where state and non-state education actors work together, relying on open dialogue, collaboration, and evidence of what works.

Aim

The aim of the Network is to drive equity, inclusion, and improved access and learning outcomes for disadvantaged learners through private sector innovation.

  • Increase the efficiency and effectiveness of private sector education finance.
  • Mobilize more non-state resources toward improving education outcomes.
  • Increase public-private dialogue and cooperation towards problem solving around education for disadvantaged learners.

The Education Finance Network undertakes a range of activities, the content of which is driven by the interests and needs of its members.

Working Groups

The Education Finance Network organizes working groups on technical issues and trends affecting the non-state education sector.

Funding

The Education Finance Network is funded by the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation, the Education Outcomes Fund, and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.

Executive Committee

The Education Finance Network is managed and supported by an Executive Committee comprising Dalberg Advisors and Opportunity International.

Members

Members include a range of foundations, donors, impact investors, practitioner networks, and research and advisory organizations.
